PXC Council
A Danish Think Tank for Procurement Leadership Teams
PXC Council is a Danish invite-only think tank within Procurement Executives Community (PXC).
It is designed for companies that recognise Procurement Leadership as a strategic capability influencing competitive advantage, resilience and long-term business performance.
Membership is company-based and participation includes both the CPO and members of the Procurement Leadership Team.

Why PXC Council Exists
Procurement Leadership has become significantly more complex.
Companies increasingly expect procurement leadership to influence:
- cost competitiveness
- supplier access and allocation
- resilience and continuity
- sustainability and compliance
- growth and business performance
At the same time, many procurement organisations remain designed for a different reality.
PXC Council was created to help companies strengthen Procurement Leadership capability through executive dialogue, collective intelligence and leadership development.

PXC is built around four interconnected pillars

1. Executive Dialogue
Confidential peer exchange, company visits and long-term trusted cross-industry relationships.
2. Research & Collective Intelligence
University collaborations, executive briefs, essays, PELI assessments, benchmarks and whitepapers.
3. Leadership Development
Real cases for leadership reflection, mentoring, talent development and peer learning.
4. Institutional Membership
Structured onboarding, voluntary advisory board participation, annual gatherings, member recognition and active contribution to content and formats.
Member companies participate through:
- Four annual gatherings
- Executive dialogue sessions
- Deep Dive Workshops
- Company visits
- Annual summit activities
- PELI initiatives
Who Participates
Today PXC Council includes participants from manufacturing, energy, pharma, biotech and service industries.
PXC Council is designed for companies with established Procurement Leadership structures seeking to strengthen long-term leadership capability.
Typical participants include:
- Chief Procurement Officers
- Procurement Directors
- Procurement Leadership Teams
- Heads of Direct Procurement
- Heads of Indirect Procurement
- Centres of Excellence
- Selected future leaders
Membership belongs to the company rather than the individual.
This creates continuity, broader organisational involvement and stronger long-term value.
A Different Type of Environment
PXC Council is intentionally different from traditional business networks and commercial communities.
- The purpose is not visibility.
- The purpose is not scale.
- The purpose is not sponsorship.
The purpose is to create a trusted environment where procurement leaders can discuss real organisational challenges openly and honestly.
PXC Council is:
- Invitation or recommendation only
- Company-based
- Independent
- Non-profit
- Limited in size
- Governed by Chatham House Rule
Typical Themes
Typical discussion themes include:
- Competitive advantage through procurement
- Resilience and geopolitical uncertainty
- Supplier dependency and allocation
- AI and digitalisation
- Sustainability and regulatory pressure
- Leadership and organisational design
- Procurement's role at executive and board level
- Procurement Leadership capability
- Talent and organisation design
The focus is practical, strategic and directly linked to the realities members face.
